The Future of Chips Project in the Technology Policy Center examines how next-generation device technologies and packaging strategies are transforming computing performance, AI acceleration, and global technology competition. This project analyzes the move to next-generation chips using nanosheet transistors and advanced chiplet designs, while evaluating how energy efficiency gains and supply-chain dynamics are shaping the future of U.S. semiconductor leadership.
