ABOUT US

Community Health Workers (CHWs) are essential in connecting underserved populations with often inaccessible healthcare services. 

Recently, Connecticut has expanded Medicaid to cover CHW services and this project aims to evaluate the impact of CHWs on community health in New Haven. 

We will be conducting a literature review, collecting data from local health centers and residents, and interviewing public health officials and local leaders. 

The end goal is to analyze this data to identify trends and develop New Haven-specific policy recommendations.
