The Yale Policy Institute is guided by an Executive Board, which manages day-to-day operations of the organization and spearheads growth.

Co-President:

Tony Ruan ‘25

Tony (he/him) is a junior studying political science with a concentration in labor studies, and is also in the Education Studies program at Yale. He has previously worked in the Education Center, and served as the Co-Center Head of the Education center prior to serving as Co-President. Tony is specifically interested in labor politics and policy, having previously worked at a Service Employees International Union (SEIU) local and the U.S. Senate. On campus, Tony also serves as a Co-Moderator of the Asian American Students Alliance. Feel free to hit him up to walk and talk about music, the NBA, and his hometown of Phoenix, AZ.

Pranav Pattatathunaduvil '25: Co-President.

Pranav is a junior studying Global Affairs who is passionate about foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific and the intersection of technology and national security. Pranav is a a co-President of the Yale Policy Institute, a Founder and Co-Director of the Geotech Initiative, and a Policy Director of the Yale Foreign Policy Initiative. This summer, he interned on the Foreign Policy Panel of the Special Competitive Studies Project, where he researched opportunities for tech collaboration between Quad countries and potential ways that generative AI could be used in U.S. foreign policy. From January 2022 to May 2023, Pranav interned at the Hudson Institute, where he conducted research on India-U.S. relations and India-China competition in Southeast Asia for Ambassador Husain Haqqani and Dr. Aparna Pande. Pranav is from Plano, Texas.

Co-Director of External Affairs: Dylan Council ‘25

Dylan is a junior at Yale University majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and Statistics and Data Science. He has specific interests in education policy and equity. He is in Benjamin Franklin College and is from Hereford, Texas. Beyond his work at the Yale Policy Institute, Dylan is an Academic Strategies Mentor with the Poorcu Center for Teaching and Learning and an Advising Fellow with Matriculate. In his free time, he enjoys watching hockey, playing intramurals, and binging reality TV shows.

Co-Director of External Affairs: Noah Bradley ‘25

Noah is a junior History major in Pauli Murray College. A lifelong Philadelphian, he is particularly interested in public policy as it pertains to cities and the people who call them home. He has previously worked for a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and at a nonprofit legal organization that helps Philadelphians access pardons and expungements. At Yale, Noah writes and performs sketch comedy, is involved with Yale’s student radio station, and works as a Poorvu Center Writing Partner.

Anna Bernstein

‘25

Anna is a junior at Yale University. She is majoring in American studies and is a part of the Education Studies program. Anna is particularly passionate about education policy. She has worked at the nonprofit National Education Equity Lab as well as the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. She also volunteers as a tutor for Urban Improvement Corps. Outside of work and school, Anna loves to play soccer and to cook!

Co-Director of Internal Affairs: Martine Dosa ‘26

Martine is a sophomore, studying Political Science and Education Studies. Her interest in policy stems from a background in community organizing and advocacy in her hometown of Syracuse, New York. In New Haven, Martine is involved with various education initiatives, including supporting social studies classes at High School in the Community and working with formerly incarcerated individuals at the public libraries. She has worked on digital strategy with the Center for American Progress and operations with March On/Future Coalition. Outside of work and school, Martine enjoys hiking, dancing and spending time with friends.
