The Mapping China’s Military Expansion project aims to utilize geospatial analysis to better understand the impact of Chinese military expansion in areas relevant to US national security. DOD provided geospatial technology, for instance, might be used to track Chinese military buildup in anticipation of further action by the CCP or PLA, specifically looking at the build-up of China's overseas military bases and global military potential.
